Audrey Friedrichsen, an attorney who specializes in land use and solar siting issues at Scenic Hudson, will present to the cohort on this topic. She will delve into best practices of how to work with a community in what can often be a contentious issue.

Audrey Friedrichsen is the Land Use & Environmental Advocacy Attorney at Scenic Hudson, Inc. Scenic Hudson is a not-for-profit organization based in Poughkeepsie, New York, dedicated to preserving the scenic, ecological, recreational, historic and agricultural treasures of the Hudson River valley. Scenic Hudson strongly supports the goals of the 2019 Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act, which increased the state’s 2030 renewable energy supply target from 50% to 70% in the interest of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and mitigating the worst impacts of climate change. Audrey's work focuses on renewable energy siting issues in the interest of making the Hudson Valley a model for the transition to clean energy.
